What to Expect?
a warm welcome at St. John’s Church...
At St. John’s Church, we are a community; an extended family made up of people of different ages, from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
If you’re in Stoke on Trent and looking for a Church … or you’re not even sure what you believe, we would love to welcome you in. Come and find out for yourselves about God’s great plan to give us life and hope in Jesus Christ.
The big one for most visitors is our Sunday services. Take a look at the rest of our website and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
If you’re considering joining us for a Sunday service and are wondering what to expect, there’s a few FAQs below.

The service starts promptly at 10:30am. Please try not to be late as this can be distracting for others.

In each service you'll find:
A time of singing together (all the words are displayed on screens)
A short talk (about 20 minutes)
Time to pray (and be prayed for if you'd like)
At one service each Sunday, we will also have communion together. There is always a service leader to help guide everyone through what’s happening, and there is no pressure to join anything if you don’t want to. You will know which service will have communion each week by looking at our service times for the one marked with an asterisk (*).
